What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence crimes are about power, control, domination and fear. When one person exhibits a pattern of attempting to gain power and control over someone they have or had a relationship with, by using physical and sexual violence, threats, emotional abuse, financial control, legal status, harassment, or stalking, he/she is committing domestic violence. These control factors are also used to alienate victims from their family, friends, and co-workers, providing the victim no feasible support system to leave the relationship.  (also known as partner abuse and spousal abuse)

Experience, service, and the understanding of the daily practical needs of women recovering from abuse and leaving prison are the elements that created Preciouslyfe Minstries, Inc. 

We provide the needed support services in many areas of care and the tasks of daily life. 

Preciouslyfe Ministries help our clients by:

• Providing Confidential support services
• Offering Christian support services
• Offering financial planning and budgeting
• Career preparation and training
• Counseling
• Learn how to obtain and maintain homes and property
• Prepare nutritious meals/menus
• Schedule appointments for personal needs, medical or with social services agencies, and more
• Obtain medical assistance (Preciouslyfe does not pay for medications)
• Assist with the paperwork to accompany appointments

Preciouslyfe Ministries is non-governmental, non-institutional, and non-clinical. When clients require services that exceed the scope of PLM's support, we assist in getting the needed assistance through one of our coordinating professional service providers and other community organizations.
